Break out of your own social media filter bubble!

In this workshop you will learn how to use social media to boost your impact, network with your peers, and get access to opportunities — in both academia and industry.

You will learn how to exploit LinkedIn and other social media platforms as professional tools to shape your information environment – and without unnecessary distraction.

You will get practical tips on:

  • Communicating effectively on the platforms
  • Meeting the right people and engaging others in your research process
  • Maintaining a sustainable social media routine that fits into your working day

At the workshop you will get feedback on your own, short, prepared post, start networking with new partners, and be inspired by other researchers’ ideas.

Prerequisites:

All participants should have at least a LinkedIn account + one account with one microblogging platform like X (former Twitter), Bluesky Social or Mastodon. Don’t worry! A short set-up guideline will be sent to you one week beforehand.

This event is aimed at both PhD students and Junior Researchers at all levels of their education or career.
