A career in the private or public sector offers plenty of options. You can continue with research in industry, create your own start-up, or you can pursue a career in project or people management.

Above you can find courses on entrepreneurship, leadership, and network meetings with industry representatives. You are also welcome to make an appointment for career counselling if you are considering a career outside academia.

If you are interested in a career involving research leadership, this is the track for you. The courses on this track are designed to boost generic skills that will help you succeed in a research career.

You can upgrade your project management skills, learn to write better grant applications or get a broader view of the international funding landscape.

Skills in both research and teaching are necessary for career advancement if you plan to pursue a research career in academia. By following the teaching and supervision track, you can upgrade your teaching and supervision skills.

This track is relevant if you are interested in a career in academia, either at a university or in higher education generally.

Teaching and supervision training is provided by the four educational research and development units at Aarhus University (CUDiM, CUL, CESU, Learning Lab).

If you would like to put together your own course package, you can choose courses from the other three tracks.

In order to ensure that you select the courses that are most relevant to your professional and personal development, you are welcome to make an appointment for career counselling with AU’s career consultants.
